Final Submission

Creative Critical Reflection 4

How did you Integrate Technologies-software, hardware, and online-in this project?

My whole project revolved around technology, my magazine was created with online software, my photos were taken with a camera, and my blog was online. The software that i used to create my magazine was called InDesign and that is where i made my drafts and final submissions, that software was crucial to the production of my magazine. Recording process was done on a blog and that is where i logged everything leading up to final submission. I also got my photos using a canon camera and that technology was important to get all of my photos since the camera quality was so good.

How did your production skills develop throughout this project?

My productions skills have improved immensely, i have developed my skills in photography, producing a product, and distribution information, these were things i did not really know anything about when i started. scheduling photo shoots and taking various shots was extremely important in producing my product because i needed multiple types of photos and throughout my process i learned what different types of shots were called and when to use them and i helped me to get the pictures i needed for my magazine. I learned how to use InDesign which is something i did not know about and i learned how to actually create a product using this. Looking into distribution, and figuring out how other products are distributed also helped me understand how other products are put out there and the different way that they are advertised.

Creative Critical Reflection 2

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text?

My product engages with the audience in many different ways, the main way my audience is engaged is that in my magazines each editions would always  include recipes that anyone could try. giving the audience something out of the magazine that they can make themselves will keep them interested because there will always be something new. Another part of my magazine that engages the audience is some of my articles about home ideas that include DIYs and things you can build or make yourself to give your home fresh ideas. To distribute this as a real media text, i would do a lot of different things to make sure i got my product out there. i would have an website available for anyone interested in my product, it would include information about my magazine and an overview on the product. Places i would want to display my magazine for purchase would in in grocery stores or in furniture stores. It would attract people who would go into those stores because that is the focus of my magazine.

How does your product use or challenge coventions , and How does it represent social groups or issues?

My magazine challenges others by being more than just another food magazine. Most food magazine have the same idea where it is mostly about food and recipes while my magazine goes beyond that. The magazine that i have created includes articles about food, home , and outdoor articles. My headlines come from the food section. It brings people attention to the food, and then because my magazine incorporates more than just the food people would be more likely to purchase my magazine because it focuses on 3 sections and people would get all of those 3 groups from one magazine. This magazine represents a group of older people based on its content. my magazine appeals to most of the population due to that it is an adult magazine. It is mostly focusing on people who are trying new cooking ideas or fresh home ideas. The conventions that this magazine represent are food home and garden, most of these are put into separate magazines but my magazine involves all of these sections, representing 3 different social groups.

quarter 3 feedback

Title Page-
I did not recieve much feedback on my title page, it was pretty much all finished, the only thing people thought i could do was move around my subtitles so that they could be seen better, but when i went to edit the places that they are in now are the best location. so i did not change many things on the title at all.

Toc- this was my biggest edit overall for my third quarter submissions and i did not receive any feedback other than what Mr. Elsbree said about my location of my articles, he thought that i should move my article page numbers so that they would have sections like pages 2-30 would be for food and 21-50 would be for home and the rest for garden, but i likes having them all integrated because it made it feel like one big magazine not like 3 separate ones. so i left it the way it was.

2 page article-
this i did not have man edits to either, after my 3rd  quarter submission was sent in i did not receive any major changes to make to my magazine before my final submission so i left this pretty much the way it was.
